Luanne Freund is an Assistant Professor at the School of Library, Archival and Information Studies, the iSchool at the University of British Columbia, Canada. She holds an MLS degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Ph.D. in information studies from the University of Toronto.
Luanne's research focuses on online searching and human information behavior. Her current work includes the development of user models and user-centered search systems in several domains: e-government, online news and higher education. She is the Principal Investigator for the E-Informing the Public research project, funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
