Carlen Ruschoff is Director of Technical Services and Strategic Initiatives at the University of Maryland Libraries. In 2015 she received the 2015 Ross Atkinson Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS).
She has served the University Libraries in various leadership positions since 2000, having previously served as the Head of Cataloging at Georgetown University. She has an extensive record of leadership within national library organizations. She served as president of ALCTS, chaired the Cataloging and Classification Section, chaired the Margaret Mann Citation Jury and served on the planning committee for the ALCTS 50th Anniversary event. She also served on the editorial boards for The Journal of Academic Librarianship and Library Resources and Technical Services.
Carlen received her MA and BA degrees from the University of Minnesota.
