With the ScienceDirect KBART API, librarians gain automated access to their holdings, the range of full text content they can access, and automatic retrieval of the information by the systems they use. This API has helped inform an upcoming NISO Recommended Practice that will focus on automating the request and retrieval of KBART reports for title lists and library holdings.

Librarian outreach to faculty is critical for raising faculty awareness and understanding of library services and collections.  This article presents outreach strategies used by two academic libraries to engage with its users in mulitple locations.

The University of Florida George A. Smathers Libraries team was presented with the first annual Elsevier Karen Hunter Memorial Award during the recent 2018 ALA Mid-Winter Meeting. The award recognizes their work on a three-year project that demonstrates collaboration between academic libraries and publishers to create interoperable information systems that benefit organizations.

The new COUNTER Code of Practice Release 5 is consistent, unambiguous, and flexible. This article will help prepare you for the new release.
