Times Higher Education Supplement turns to Scopus

ScopusThe Times Higher Education Supplement (THES) and QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) are now using Scopus Custom Data as the data source for metric evaluation of official rankings of universities worldwide. Each year, THES and QS release a World University Rankings report and the 2007 full report is based on data from Scopus Custom Data. The move to Scopus is due to the quality and scope of its data. The Scopus data allows for higher quality and transparency in the THES-QS ranking process. Also, as it provides significant amounts of data from institutions outside the US and non-English language content, Scopus facilitates a global analysis of universities and institutions worldwide. end of article
